have you guys met vashtie yet?
i first noticed her when scrolling through some 'before the chloé show' looks at
paris fashion week. i loved the way she wore the brand -
in her own, unique, masculin/feminin way.
in her own, unique, masculin/feminin way.
since then, i've read about her beauty regime, her wellness philosophy, and
took a peek into her closet. oh, and i follow her on snapchat!
trying to rediscover my style, my voice and, more importantly, my personality
(read: temperament, disposition) after an illness which left me in a near-constant state
of anxiety & self doubt, is certainly difficult. but when i come across a girl like vashtie
it makes my self (re)discovery easier: here's a girl that knows her style, her vibe,
her ethos, and embraces it. it's about taking, for example, a chloé runway look and
wearing it your own way.
+ don't get me started on her glowing skin + enviable curls. again: embracing who you are
& making the absolute best of what you've got.
a bit on her beauty regime:
'I use a concealer from NARS and then a powder foundation from Afterglow Cosmetics, which is organic, holistic, vegan.
Then I use a mascara from RMS, which is really great and an incredible beauty line, and I use blush from Afterglow.

Then I use any lip color from NARS.'
&
'For makeup I like to keep it simple. I use a powder foundation by Afterglow Cosmetics in the color Fawn. I smudge a little black eyeliner by Rejuva Minerals and my under eye concealer is #44 by RMS Beauty. As for my lips, I keep them moist with RMS Beauty Lip & Skin Balm in Simply Vanilla.'
+ on inspiration:
'Rebellious youth culture has always inspired me, the people that ignore the mainstream rules and make their own rules. All the misfits who start their own trends and make their own scene. I grew up in that culture and I believe it's what made me who I am today. That courage and creativity not only inspires my work,
but it inspires me to continue being me.'
